The Supporting Early Career STEM Researcher program focuses on assisting researchers to integrate 360 and VR technologies in their work. Through our collaboration with STEM researchers, we believe these technologies will lead to the development of robust professional skills for all STEM researchers.
Empowering STEM Educators and Learners program focuses on assisting educators to integrate 360 and virtual reality technologies in K-12 STEM classrooms. Working with STEM educators and learners in the use of these technologies likely leads to greater retention of STEM educators in K-12 classrooms, facilitates the learning of STEM learners, and provides both educators and learners with opportunities to expand personal and professional skills.
The Community Outreach program at STEM-VRSE focuses on multiple activities, including a monthly newsletter to highlight current events related to STEM research using 360 and virtual reality technologies, STEM educators’ use of 360 and virtual reality technologies in STEM K-12 classrooms, and the work of members within the STEM-VRSE organization at community events (e.g., First Friday in downtown Bryan, TX).
